I started fishing from a very young age. I spent most of my spare time on the bank. I fished for just about everything and went with the seasons really. From carp to pike fishing and from fly fishing to pole fishing or beach casting. 

The last ten to fifteen years I fished mostly with the feeder on commercials and natural venues.

As a scholar I worked Saturdays and holidays in a fishing tackle shop and after a few years got the opportunity to start at wholesale level. I have worked in the tackle industry for over 35 years now and had some leading roles in product development, sourcing, sales and operations for some of the leading companies in Europe and the UK.

I had the privilege of working with some amazing anglers over the years, not just in the Netherlands but also in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.

Besides my passion for fishing, I have a true passion for products too and for the tackle trade in general. When I was asked to lead the development of a new coarse fishing brand for the UK and Europe I did not have to think twice. The team that created Nytro shares that same passion.

We all want to continue to develop a brand and products that anglers want to fish with. Products that perform, that are affordable, reliable and that look smart.
